Infrastructure Renewal

At Moorefield, we have years of experience in challenging infrastructure renewal projects. These projects require us to replace ageing sewers, water mains and urban area roads, usually in highly public traffic areas. Our experienced supervisors and employees take pride in doing all they can to minimize construction disruptions to surrounding residents and businesses, while also ensuring efficiency and safety for all concerned.

To do this, we employ our unique, in-house Total Reconstruction method. While our competitors may dig up the same area 4 or 5 times to complete the required project work, we complete all elements required in that particular area before moving on. By doing this, we greatly reduce disruptions to the public, eliminate re-work due to errors, provide stable travelling surfaces for construction and public traffic, and maintain a tight, compact and clean work area.

Site Servicing

From new residential subdivisions to commercial and industrial developments, we have what
it takes to manage land development from start to finish for both public and private customers.

We recognize that construction methods and the construction workforce is rapidly evolving.
To meet this challenge, we have heavily invested in the latest GPS technology, giving our
crews the tools to be highly efficient and accurate. We create digital models of the site
in-house to ensure accuracy and develop work plans in the office before we start in the field.

Our services include:

  • Land clearing and removals
  • Earth moving
  • Storm water management facilities installation
  • Municipal sewer and watermain installs
  • Road base construction and road drainage
  • Underground electrical utilities installation
  • Co-ordinate subcontractors to construct new concrete and asphalt surfaces
  • Co-ordinate subcontrators to construct landscaped areas

Bridge Work

Our crews are also experienced at bridge work, whether bridge specific or as part of larger
contracts. When we arrive on site for bridge work, we begin with any necessary stream diversion and responsible wildlife habitat protection before we demolish and recycle existing
structures.
We install both large precast concrete or multi-plate CSP structures. We follow the installation with any required stream bed restoration, retaining wall construction, guiderail construction, storm water and sediment control and slope stabilization and vegetation restoration.
